The First Annual Summer Swelter Charity Poker Run

Here are some photos from the first poker run. Please be patience, some of them are rather large, but they are worth it.

Thats me(in shorts) chatting with a fellow organizer. The day before the run I fell and threw out my back and was unable to ride last year. I look foward to being in the run this year.

Thats Randy and his wife. They helped me with the run.

Regina, my sister, was the main person behind the collecting the door prizes and donations.

My dad,David. I don't know if he was tired or hungry.

I think the main event was the food. Is it soup yet.

C.R. and his wife gets some help from Frank(Randys step-dad) at the mike.

I call him Big Little Randy. He's Randy's dad,and about 1/3 my size.

Say hello to Denise, winner of our Middleton Doll, and good friend of the family.

Relaxing in the shade after the ride. We hade a beautiful day for the ride.

Winner of Best of Show,Bill Tarrell, was the last rider to sign in. He didn't even ride the course, but showed up to support us. Thanks Bill !!!

Junior Hines won our Stihl chainsaw raffle as well as the 50/50. Junior was great and donated the 50/50 money back to W.V.C.H.S.

Herman,my brother, is an ex-McDonald's employee. He worked out very well at the grill.

Some of the bikes resting after the 90 mile ride.

We hade about 43 riders in the run.

Ready to rock and roll.

2nd place winner, Billie Cox. Billie also won the majority of our door prizes. Just lucky, I guess!

Poor photo! Unknown male friend recieving 3rd place trophy for Sunny Sleeth

Bad picture! Mark Hart was the big winner, 1st place in the run.

Randy's bike. He was also unable to ride because we were busy playing boss.

Did someone order a burger well-burnt???

Heres my pride and joy(after 6 hours of polishing).

No one told me Kenny Rogers was there! Actually this was at Jamboree in the Hills 2000.

Remember, always make time to stop and smell the roses.
